About

My name is Lucy Fournier and I am a fourth year communication design student here at Emily Carr. My design practice varies from photography, painting, drawing, graphic design, print work, and a bit of interaction design.

A majority of my work centers around education, promoting, and providing awareness to social/societal issues. Social design, design ethics, and the importance of discussing difficult subjects is the main driving point in my practice.

My vision is to work with the focus on emerging design technologies and cutting edge graphic design in order to tackle complex human issues, placing the social issues as the priority, and of the use of the design process to bring about social change.

“Using the power of design to educate, inform, and provide awareness on social, political, and environmental issues that are affecting our society today.
